Johnson Solar was founded by Navy Veteran, Naval Aviator, and retired helicopter pilot, Clinton Johnson.  With over 20 years of service, Clinton is dedicated his second career and business efforts toward helping customers in San Diego County and surrounding areas get solar installed faster and more affordable than most competitors.  Clinton grew up in rural Minnesota on a Farm, which he developed a strong work ethic and can do know how.  His father was in construction management and he worked many trades in high school and after graduation.  He Joined the military to serve his country and give back to our nation.  During his military career he rose up through the ranks starting at the bottom as enlisted working in the Computer & Electronics Fields and upon deciding to pursue a 20 year career he earned a full ride scholarship to University of Wisconsin where he earned his Bachelor’s in Business concentrating in Real Estate Development.  He was commissioned and selected to become an a Naval Aviator and Finished his career here in San Diego after earning his MBA at University of San Diego in New Venture Management.  He knew he wanted solar on his home and also wanted to start a contracting business after his military retirement.  After installing solar panels on his own home he realized that his knowledge, skills, and experience were the perfect fit to start his own solar company.  Over the past several years he has grown the business and now he out performs all major competitors in service, speed, reliability, and price.  He helps hundreds of San Diego Residence save with solar every year.
